    • If the player has 400 mastery (or more) in Dark Step, they can learn it from Phoeyu in exchange for 5,000 and 2,500,000
    • You can also find Phoeyu in the Castle of the Sea in the Third Sea, but the player won’t be able to learn Death Step if they haven’t unlocked the door in the Ice Castle using the Library Key.

  • The duration of this move will be increased if the key is held down.
  • If the user is on the ground, they will jump when starting this move.

With Max Overheat:
The user assaults their opponent with a flurry of kicks, and the final axe kick sets the ground on fire, dealing additional burn damage.

Max Overheat Ignites the user’s leg(s), increasing Death Step’s damage by 10% for about 40 seconds.

  • While active, all Death Step attacks leave fire that deals continuous damage to enemies inside it.
    • Activating Max Overheat 100 times will do nothing, the Dark Step overheating move is needed.
  • 60 seconds cooldown.
  • Activating Max Overheat will cause small damage to any enemy/player near you.
