What are the Races in Blox Fruits?

Depending on the player’s race, they will be granted special abilities and exclusive enhancements to use in combat. In Blox Fruits, when players join for the first time, a race will be randomly generated for them. The races available upon first joining are as follows:

• Human (62.5%)
• Shark (12.5%)
• Angel (12.5%)
• Rabbit (12.5%)
• Unique Races:
  • Cyborg (Available by solving the Cyborg Puzzle.)
  • Ghoul (Available for 100 Ectoplasm and a Hellfire torch through Experimic.)

How and Where to Obtain Races in Blox Fruit?

Below is a table that shows how and where to obtain the races in Blox Fruits:

Deliver 3000 Fragments to Tort to reset your race. You are guaranteed to get a different race. (Not available in the First Sea.)
During the Christmas event of Update 13, players had the option to buy a race reset for 90 Candies from the Magic Elf NPC.
During the Halloween event of Update 16, players could acquire a race reset for 300 Bones from the Death King NPC.

During the 10B Visits event, players had the possibility to buy a race reset for 50 Confetti from the Party Shop NPC.
During the Christmas event of Update 18 Part 1, players could acquire a race reset for 100 Candies from the Magic Elf NPC.
During the Valentine’s event, it is possible to use 50 Hearts to change your race.
Note: Ghoul and Cyborg cannot be obtained through the methods mentioned above. However, if you have already obtained them once, you can get them again by talking to their respective NPCs (Experimic for Ghoul and the secret NPC for Cyborg).

Note: To change to Cyborg, the secret NPC requires 2,500 Fragments per change. However, changing to Ghoul is free.

Races Awakening: V1, V2, V3 & V4

Version	Description
V1	All races have a second and third version (known as v2 and v3). These versions grant different augmentations to the player’s abilities and can only be obtained in the Second Sea.
V2	The second version of a race (V2) can be obtained by talking to the Alchemist in the Green Zone and completing the Flower Quest. To start the quest, the player must have a minimum level of 850 and have completed the Colosseum Quest. Buying V2 costs 500,000 Money.
V3	The third version (V3) of a race unlocks an additional ability for the player and requires completing certain quests depending on the race. To start, you need:
	– To have the V2 version of the current race.
	– Defeat Don Swan and unlock the door to his room.
	If these requirements are met, you can talk to Arowe (located at a hidden entrance in the plateau where Diamond resides) to receive a mission that allows you to upgrade the race to V3.
	Buying V3 costs 2,000,000 Money.
Quest V3	Once you have spoken to Arowe, a mission will be assigned based on the race. The missions and their difficulty are as follows:
	– Human: Defeat the first 3 bosses in the Second Sea: Diamond, Jeremy, and Fajita. (Difficulty ⁠— 2.5/5)
	– Shark: Defeat a naturally-spawning Sea Beast. Summoned ones (including those summoned by the Tide Keeper) will not count. (Difficulty ⁠— 2.5/5)
	– Angel: Kill another player with the Angel race. (Difficulty ⁠— 3/5)
	– Rabbit: Collect 30 chests. (Difficulty ⁠— 1/5)
	– Ghoul: Kill any 5 players in the same Second Sea server. It can be the same person up to 5 times. No need to get rewards or honor. (Difficulty ⁠— 3.5/5)
	– Cyborg: Give any physical fruit to Arowe. (Difficulty ⁠— 1/5)
V4	The fourth version (V4/Race Awakening) unlocks additional abilities for the player and requires completing missions, solving puzzles, and overcoming challenges depending on the race. To start:
	– Defeat the Rip_Indra Raid Boss.
	– Defeat the Dough King.
	– Unlock Race V3.

Races Ranked & Tips

• Human: New players often receive the Human race most frequently. In its initial form, it does not provide any bonuses. However, as it evolves, it gains specific enhancements and unlocks an ability called “Last Resort” at level v3, which increases the damage dealt as the player’s health decreases. This race specializes in damage.
• Rabbit: Provides a significant boost in speed, increases dash boost, and unlocks an ability called “Agility” at level v3, which further increases speed. This race specializes in speed.
• Shark: The shark character has a special ability that progressively reduces water damage taken as a fruit user, and at level v3, it can unlock an additional skill called “Water Body,” which further decreases the damage suffered. This race excels in swimming and defensive resilience.
• Angel: Features enhanced jumping abilities and at level v3, it can unlock a capability known as “Heavenly Blood,” which decreases damage taken, heals 20% of health, and regenerates energy. This race excels in aerial combat and possesses great healing capacity.
• Cyborg: Enhances defensive capability and gains access to an ability called “Energy Core” at level v3, which reduces damage received, negates Instinct, and deals damage to those within its range. This race specializes in energy regeneration and Instinct suppression.
• Ghoul: Has a passive life drain ability that heals by damaging opponents with its combat style, and it can unlock an ability called “Heightened Senses” at level v3, which provides various benefits. This race excels in life drain and in different areas similar to other races, although not to the same extent.

Description
To obtain the Slayer Skin for the Dark Blade, you must have unlocked the V3 ability in all races except Ghoul and Cyborg, as they are not among the four starting races.
Your V3 quest progress will not be saved when you exit the game, but if you die, your progress will be saved.
It is not possible to naturally switch to the Ghoul or Cyborg race or join the game with them. They can only be obtained by completing a series of quests.
You can obtain the Ghoul Race again for free by speaking to Experimic if you have changed to another race after completing the required quests to obtain it.
The same applies to the Cyborg Race, but you will have to pay 2,500 Fragments as the cost.
Previously, the additional Instinct Dodge ability from Human V2 would still be retained even if you changed your race, but this has been corrected in a later update.
Race Awakening V4 was added in Update 17 Part 3 and fully released in Update 18 on January 6, 2023.
You can activate the V3 ability of each Race by pressing the T key on your keyboard, without needing to use it from your inventory.
You can activate the Race Awakening of each Race by pressing the Y key on your keyboard, without needing to use it from your inventory.
In Update 17 Part 2, the activation effect of races has been modified.
When changing races, you will retain the Race version of your original race. For example, if you evolve Angel to V3 and then change to Human, you will still have the V3 version of Angel when you switch back to it.
When unlocking the V2 version of a Race, your dash will be slightly longer while using it.
The special ability of Rabbit, Agility, does not stack with Ice’s Awakening Ice Skating ability.
Previously, it was possible to exchange a Rare Artifact with Norp to get a race reassignment, but this was changed in Update 13, and now Fragments are used instead.
